For over two decades, ABAKBS has stood as a pillar of hope for children and youth with intellectual disabilities in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Founded with the belief that every child, regardless of their mental capacity, deserves education, respect, and opportunity, our organization provides residential care, therapy, and vocational training.
Here, children are not defined by their disabilities — they are guided, taught, and celebrated for every small achievement. We introduce them to daily routines, basic concepts of color, time, and hygiene, and train them in practical skills like stitching, file-making, and screen printing.
Our team includes trained educators, residential caretakers, and therapists who work with patience and empathy. We believe that empowerment begins with understanding — and understanding grows from love.

ABAKBS began with a vision — to serve those forgotten by society. What started as a small initiative in two rooms, built with cloth partitions and heartfelt determination, has grown into a full-fledged residential and vocational training center.
Each year, we identify children from slum and rural areas, conduct surveys, and bring them to our center for education, therapy, and care. We ensure they receive three nutritious meals daily and a safe environment to learn and grow.
